Important Information Regarding Monthly Software Updates
When Microsoft releases monthly updates on the second Tuesday of each month, they will be tested and distributed to Campus

- If you click on the pop-up, you will see a similar screen to the one below where you can decide what to do with the updates.

- If now is a good time, you can select Right now to have updates begin installing
- You can snooze and have Software Center remind you later if it is before the deadline
- The preferred way is to choose Outside my business hours, and Restart my computer automatically if needed, but first you have to define the timeframe by clicking Configure my business hours
- Configure your Business hours by selecting the timeframe and days of the week you usually work

- If you install the updates and reboot you will not be prompted again to install updates

If no action is taken, updates will be eventually be installed automatically. You will be prompted to restart your computer. As long as other updates do not require a reboot to install, you will not be prompted again to restart. You have the option to Snooze the message or click cancel. Examples of these messages are included below.
