Mission Statement

 Safe Place & Wellness Program (SP&WP) is an on-campus, inclusive resource that provides support and, 为遭受性侵犯的学生提供辩护服务, relationship violence, or stalking incidents. These services are free and confidential. SP&工作人员可为需要下列服务的学生提供协助:

Program Description

The Safe Place & Wellness Program provides a space for victims and survivors as well as allies of domestic violence, stalking and sexual assault  seeking services on campus.  所提供的服务包括法庭伴奏, judicial affairs advocacy, law enforcement advocacy, restraining order preparation and filing. An active PEER Educator    program that provides strategies to support and address unique needs of our student population including international students, foster youth, veterans and LGBTQ students, 3) continued utilization of PEER Educators  that provide strategies to support and address the unique needs of our student population including international students, foster youth, veterans and LGBTQ students, and 4) develop and implement evaluation procedures that include pre and post tests to assess knowledge gained through social marketing, workshops, staff meetings, Institute Day Training's, off-campus training's, curriculum and training, peer-to-peer training programs, and suicide prevention.

While Safe Place & Wellness Program (SP&WP) is not new to the Unit Planning process, it is new to the Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) process and has just recently been added the SLO and program review process.  SP&WP的努力将需要集中在采购兼职9个月，主张. Our office does not have a budget and has had to use personal funding and grants to meet the directives of OCR compliance.  With an office budget SP&WP could meet the needs of our satellite campus, work towards a campus culture of educated and empowered students to be leaders and agents of social change. Through activities and education, SP&WP supports a culturally diverse campus and helps cultivate a positive campus climate.
